Overview

The SQL API implements a PostgreSQL wire protocol server that allows you to run Malloy queries directly from SQL:
  • Native BI tool support: Connect using standard PostgreSQL connectors without custom integrations
  • Embedded Malloy queries: Run Malloy queries directly within SQL
  • Flexible composition: Combine Malloy queries with standard SQL for advanced use cases
  • Build dashboards and reports using your existing BI tool workflows
